The Boynton-McKay Lion
The Boynton-McKay Lion has been hanging above the soda fountain in this store longer than anyone can remember. It is an early 1900s lithograph from a printing house in Cleveland, Ohio. This company later specialized in producing movie posters. We are aware of more of these exact pieces from as far away as Boston and speculate that a salesman traveled around New England selling framed posters out of the back of a wagon.
